Alcarràs will host the first Urban Super Enduro with elite riders

El Ayuntamiento de Alcarràs, junto con MX Les Coves, se organizará el 26 de abril el primer enduro urbano de Alcarràs. Un evento que tendrá lugar entre el área del Sports Hall, la Cementery Hill y el Pabellón Multipurpose, como se planeó estar en el área de la iglesia, pero el trabajo de remodelación ha comenzado. El evento contará con corredores de élite, como Marc Fernández, el actual campeón mundial junior; Eddie Karlsson, piloto sueco y 5th Clasifica (8k, mejor calidad, obra maestra, muy detallada: 1.1)

A new sporting event in Alcarràs

On April 26, the city of Alcarràs will become the stage of the first Urban Super Enduro, a joint initiative of the City Council and MX Les Coves. The event will take place between the sports hall, the cemetery hill and the multipurpose pavilion, after the remodeling work in the church area was required to change a location.

Renowned riders join the competition

Competition will bring together some of the best riders in the world, including Marc Fernández, a Junior World Champion, and Eddie Karlsson, who ranks fifth in the Super Enduro World Cup. Also participating will be Francesc Moret, Junior Spanish Champion of Spain and Fourth World Classified. In addition, fans will enjoy the skills of amateur pilots from various parts of Catalonia.

Expectations and preparations

Gerard Companys, the Mayor of Alcarràs, has expressed the excitement in the face of this unpublished event, waiting for it to be a great success. Super Enduro Week will coincide with the town’s cultural week, promising a vibrant experience for residents and visitors.

Collaboration and institutional support

Ester Ibars, Councilor for Sports, said that the proposal to host the event was welcomed, emphasizing the effectiveness and collaboration of the organizing body in the preparation of the activity. This has facilitated logistics and has increased the attractiveness of the competition.

Event schedule

The activities will begin at 3pm with the training of amateur pilots, followed by elite pilots at 4pm. The knockouts will start shortly after, with the finals planned from 5.30pm. The awards ceremony, with rewards ranging from 500 to 100 euros for the top five classified in the elite category, will take place around 8pm, followed by a music session that will extend until midnight.

An opportunity for the community

Marcel Estela, a representative of MX Les Coves, has shared his excitement for the event, emphasizing the importance of bringing world recognized riders to Alcarràs. This not only reinforces the image of the city as a center of sporting events, but also promotes the interest and participation of the local community.
