Alcoi City Council will maintain the 50% reduction in the price of urban transport
The Alcoi City Council has renewed its adherence to the aid of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda for the reduction of the price of the transport ticket for regular users. In this way, the application of the 50% discount on multi-trip vouchers and the monthly urban bus vouchers will be extended until the end of 2024.
The commitment of the City Council and the Ministry of Transport
Alcoi City Council will continue to contribute 20% of the price of the urban bus bonds, while the Ministry of Transport will contribute the remaining 30%. This will make it possible to maintain the 50% reduction in the price of urban transport for regular users.
Benefits for public transport users
This measure, which was established in June 2022, aims to help people in situations of social and economic vulnerability, as well as promote economic and social recovery. Regular users of public transport in Alcoi will be able to enjoy a 50% discount on multi-trip vouchers and monthly city bus vouchers.
Conditions and prices of transport vouchers
Discount vouchers include multi-trip and monthly vouchers, while single tickets and annual vouchers are not included in this offer. The prices of the discounted vouchers vary according to the type of card and the profile of the user. For example, the School Card will have a price of 1.50 euros instead of the usual 3 euros, while the Student Card will go from 4 euros to 2 euros.

The councilor for Sustainable Mobility, Jordi Martínez, emphasizes that these measures contribute to promoting the use of the urban bus and improving mobility in Alcoi.
