An inevitable appointment for lovers of arts
From May 26 to May 29, Alcoy will become the choir of the performing arts, celebrating its 34th Performing Arts Fair in the Valencian Community. With 21 scheduled performances, this fair promises to be a key event for professionals and the general public.
A varied range of artistic proposals
This year’s program will include an amalgam of disciplines, ranging from text theater and circus to contemporary dance and humor. Josep Policarpo, director of the event, has carefully selected the performances to offer a rich and diversified experience for both professionals and spectators.
Complementary activities for an enriching experience
In addition to the performances, the fair will also include cultural mediation activities, with sessions adapted for adult schools and reading clubs. This will allow attendees to reflect on the works presented and foster a deeper dialogue on the performing arts.
Releases that mark tendency
In this edition, four works will make its absolute premiere. The Troupe Malabó company, with ‘Eirenê, under the layer of heaven’, explores peace issues in a context of conflict through clown and music. ‘Three sad traumas’, by Pasqual Alapont, will present an emotional journey of three brothers reviewing their past.
Local and international works
The local company La Dependent will offer ‘clandestines (a story of heartbreak)’, while ‘Soy’, by the Andalusian company ‘Baldo Ruiz y Paloma Calderón’, will claim female empowerment through contemporary dance.
The diversity of programming
The fair will also include releases from several companies in the Valencian Community, such as ‘The good days’ of iron productions, which explores addictions, and ‘The Bosque de Coco’, which addresses family separation from a childish perspective.

Other outstanding proposals include ‘The sequence’ of Triangle Theater, ‘Chaos’ of Alabast Theater, and comedies such as ‘Escape Room’ by Albena Teatre. The program also encompasses works of historical recreation and music shows, ensuring that there is something for every taste.
