Alcoy celebrates young creativity with the VII School Theater Show

A reference educational event

From April 8 to 10, Alcoy will become the nucleus of youth creativity with the VII School Theater Show. Organized by the Department of Education, this edition promises to be a great showcase of the artistic talent of the students of the city.

Mass involvement of schools

With the participation of 372 students and teachers from 8 educational centers and the Municipal Theater School, the event highlights the collaboration and commitment of the educational community. The scenarios selected for the performances include the Principal Theater, the Cultural Center and the IVAM each.

Schedules and access to the public

The morning functions will be aimed exclusively to the school public with prior reservation, while the evening actions will be free access until the capacity is completed.

Varied and creative works

This year’s sample will include 11 works with different themes. For example, IES Andreu Sempere will present ‘The courageous valuables’, and the Salesianos Juan XXIII College will offer ‘Honor and Terres’.

An extension of participation

The Salesianos School San Vicente Ferrer will be represented with three works: ‘The great showman’, ‘This was and was not … and’ and ‘this was and was not … II’. Other participants include the Municipal Theater School with ‘for six pomegranate grains’ and the CEIP Sant Vicent with ‘Invisible’.

A special closing night

On April 11, the exhibition will culminate in ‘Travel to Oz. The musical ‘, presented by Trencadís Productions, at the Calderón Theater, where awards will also be made to all participants.

Alberto Belda, Councilor for Education, emphasized the relevance of this initiative as a platform for artistic expression and the development of social competences among young people. ‘The School Theater Show is essential for education and culture,’ he said, emphasizing the role of theater as a fundamental educational tool.
