A CULTURAL FESTA to Alcoi
From May 16 to 18, the city of Alcoy became a vibrant cultural epicenter on the occasion of the International Museum Day. The various museum institutions opened their doors to provide a rich program in activities aimed at all audiences, with the aim of making cultural heritage accessible to the local community.
Engaging and participatory activities
Among the most attractive proposals, the Escape Room family ‘A Enchanted Museum’ emphasized for its great acceptance, exhausting the available places. This activity, held on May 17, invited attendees to interactively explore the Camilo Visedo Museum, fusing puzzles and history in a family and dynamic atmosphere.
Visits to museums and cultural spaces
The Alcoy museums recorded a significant influx of visitors this weekend. The Archaeological Museum received a total of 237 people, while the Cervantes anti -aircraft shelter hosted 177 visits, and the Alcoyan Museum of the Festival (MAF) registered 329 tickets. Each space offered a unique look at local heritage, from ancient cultures to recent history.
Exhibitions of interest in IVAM Each Alcoy
The IVAM Each Alcoy was another of the focus of attraction, with two exhibitions that caught the attention of the visitors. ‘Isabel-Clara Simó: Collection and legacy’, which offers an intimate view of the Alcoyan writer, received 78 visitors during the three days. At the same time, ‘eternally new’, which explores modernism through various works of art, 100 people attracted.
Complementary activities
Other spaces such as the Muboma, the Explore-Isurus Center and the Sarga cave paintings also took an active part in the celebration. With a varied offer that included concerts, children’s workshops and guided tours, these places contributed to the weekend a rich and diverse cultural experience.

The Councilor for Cultural Heritage, Ignacio Trelis, expressed his satisfaction with the result of the activities: ‘We have experienced an intense weekend of culture and participation.
