An event that brings together institutions and creativity

On April 10, Amposta will become the center of cultural and institutional care with the celebration of the Peripheral Awards gala. Jordi Hereu, Minister of Industry and Tourism, will chair this ceremony that will take place at the Lira Ampostina Theater at 6 pm.

Expectations and growing participation

With only two weeks for the event, 390 attendees have already been confirmed, of a total of 500 places available. Josep Maria Arasa, from the Ebro Media Group, and Francesc Puig, of communications from the Ports, have expressed their satisfaction with this institutional support, which they consider to be essential for making visible the economic potential of the region that unites Catalonia, the Valencian Country and Aragon.

A Full Gala of Personalities and Recognitions

The gala will not only have the presence of heir, but also the participation of prominent figures such as the permanent state of the state in front of the OECD, Ximo Puig, and the President of the Diputación de Tarragona, Noemí Llauradó. One of the most emotional moments of the night will be the posthumous recognition of Federico Mayor Zaragoza, President of the Honor Committee of the Awards.

A wide representation of the community

The ceremony will also gather senior officials from the Government of the Generalitat, twenty-one mayors and deputies of the provinces of Castellón, Tarragona and Teruel, as well as representatives of civil society, including universities, employers’ organizations and unions. The 48 winners of the regional awards and other finalists will also be present, with a total of 200 diplomas to be distributed.

A unique gastronomic experience

In addition to the awards, the gala will include a first sample of Ilercavonia products, with the participation of more than twenty brands that will offer tastings of local products. This initiative will allow attendees to enjoy gastronomic delight of zero kilometer, representing the 114 municipalities of the Terres de l’Ebre, the Matarranya, the two Maestrat and the Ports.

Awards that celebrate cultural innovation

Peripheral awards are a recognition of innovation in the field of culture, society and art, and cover eight counties: Baix Ebre, Montsià, Ribera d’Ebre, Terra Alta, Alt Maestrat, Baix Maestrat, Els Ports and Matarranya. Through these awards, it seeks to revitalize the old Ilercavonia, a historical space that unites these regions.
