A space for menstrual culture

The Women of Amposta Space will again become the central nucleus of the menstrual culture days, which this year will celebrate its fourth edition from March 29 to April 6. This event will include a series of activities designed to explore and discuss the various facets of the menstrual cycle, addressing topics ranging from menarquia to menopause.

Commitment to demystification

The first Deputy Mayor, Núria Marco, emphasized the innovative nature of these days, emphasizing the need to reach a wide range of audiences to break with the stigmas associated with menstruation. The aim is to promote a deeper and free understanding of these topics that directly affect women.

A diverse and inclusive program

Núria Ferré, Councilor for Social Rights and Citizenship, emphasized the increase in interest in these days, which continue to grow with each edition. “We must continue to work to foster a more conscious and positive view of menstruation, approaching it from perspectives of health, well-being and feminism,” he said.

Activities for all

Laia Oraá, a representative of Casa de Luna, commented that workshops and talks for various age groups will be offered during the conference, including activities for girls who experience menarchy and children who are beginning to understand their own sexuality. It will also emphasize menopause, with the aim of facilitating a healthy transition.

Free access and additional services

The menstrual culture days will be completely free and open to everyone. In addition, to facilitate participation, a play space will be offered for children who accompany attendees, as well as a babysitting service during the opening day of April 4 in the afternoon and Saturday morning. Interested parties can request this service by sending an email to [email protected].

A future full of possibilities

The Amposta Menstrual Culture Conference not only seeks to educate and inform, but also aspire to transform the way society perceives menstruation. With an enriching program and an inclusive approach, these activities promise to contribute to the creation of a more understanding and respectful environment for women’s life experiences.
