A unique celebration
This Saturday the 24th from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. the Diables Rojos present a party at the Casal de Joves that kicks off the celebration of the gang’s 35 years of history. With a bar, gang DJs and the Mambo Queens, the Red Devils have organized this festivity to be able to collect money for the upcoming events that will mark the special year. Entry is free and bar prices are popular.
The red day
This first event will serve as a financial cushion for future celebration events. And the big event will take place on May 25; “The red day”. A day in which activities dedicated to children will be carried out throughout the morning (several workshops, a parade with the participation of children’s gangs and the performance of the tale of the bicorn), a popular lunch, a percussion competition, a competition of ceptrots (in which entities from all over the territory will participate), a popular dinner, and finally, concerts at night with emblematic performances by the Sant Feliuen population.
35 years of passion
Els Diables Rojos emerged in 1989 and now have more than 200 members and with almost all the sections full: with timbales and devils for children and adults, without forgetting the Bicron and the Bicornet. After these last years of much activity, Guillem Porres, member of the team of gang leaders; assures that the goal of the gang in the coming years is to continue marking new exits and reach the most emblematic hotspots of Catalonia. The group believes in the importance of being very proactive in events outside the town, but without forgetting the role they play in revitalizing the social fabric of Sant Feliu. According to Porres, “the will of the Diables Rojos has never ceased to be to offer things for the municipality and its population”. Hence one of the reasons why they decided to set up their new headquarters in the Casino a year ago: “to collaborate with the centenary entity and give it more life”.
A call for new sponsors
From the gang, and to be able to make the celebration of all these years of history even bigger, they are looking for new sponsors who want to contribute to the activities with a financial contribution of 50 euros and/or collaborations with products or services to be raffled among the prizes of the different contests on May 25.
