Antònia Maria Perelló Ferrer has emerged as a prominent figure in the Mallorcan cultural scene, being proposed to assume the role of managing director of the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation in Mallorca. The Selection Committee, which met recently in Palma, has recognized his exceptional qualities and vision.

His project, grounded in the Balearic reality and with an international projection, offers a contemporary perspective on Miró’s legacy, addressing urgent political-social, ethical and environmental issues.

The Selection Committee highlighted Perelló’s extensive experience in the museum sector of contemporary art, demonstrating a deep knowledge of the study, care of collections and museum procedures. This, together with its capacity in sponsorship and patronage, promises to ensure the sustainability and continued growth of the institution.
An Acknowledgment to All Candidatures
We must also recognize the high level of all the candidacies presented, reflecting the wealth of talent in Mallorca’s cultural field. Perelló Ferrer’s proposal will be submitted to the Foundation’s Governance Committee for approval, with final ratification by the Board of Trustees, in the near future.
