Arrest in Valencia for distribution of pornographic content
As part of the ‘Skianet’ operation, the Civil Guard has arrested an 18-year-old individual for distributing pornographic material through a messaging group with more than 1,800 members. The detainee faces ten charges of creating and distributing child pornography, as well as attacking moral integrity and sexual freedom.
A private and restricted access group
The group in question was private and could only be accessed by invitation. Despite this, the agents managed to infiltrate and carry out a thorough investigation. During the group’s study, it was discovered that more than 1,600 media files had been shared, all of them containing pornographic content. At least 200 of these files were considered child pornography.
Using artificial intelligence to modify images
The investigation revealed that at least 30 images had been modified using artificial intelligence to show naked women. These images were of girls between 11 and 21 years old. The detainee, who was the administrator of the group, used images stolen from social media profiles of his high school classmates and several ‘influencers’.
Identification of victims and legal actions
Thanks to OSINT investigation techniques, a total of 13 victims were identified, of which nine were minors. Among the victims were well-known content creators on social networks with more than two million followers. The corresponding proceedings have been delivered to the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 1 of Onteniente, in Valencia.
