Start of the 2023 Income Campaign

From this Wednesday, May 29, taxpayers will be able to start the process for the in-person attention of the Income declaration corresponding to the year 2023. However, it will be on June 3 when the Agency Tributaria will start assisting citizens in their offices for the preparation and presentation of documents. In addition, the organization has launched the ‘We get in touch with you’ plan for the preparation of Income tax returns by telephone. Thus, from the beginning of May until the end of the campaign, taxpayers who need personalized assistance will be able to receive assistance without the need to travel to an office.

Personalized Assistance

The Tax Agency has decided to offer support to people who wish to file their income tax return online or in person. In addition, the main innovation of this campaign has been operational since the beginning of the month, which is the special assistance plan for people over 65 in small municipalities in the Spanish geography. This allows residents in more than 550 municipalities of the 46 provinces of the territory under a common regime to prepare their declaration without travel or, in some cases, with travel to a very nearby municipality.

Submission deadline

It should be borne in mind that the submission deadline will end on July 1st for both returns and returns, although the deadline for returns by direct debit will end on June 26th.

Economic Forecasts

The Tax Agency expects to enter 18,908 million euros in the 2023 Income Campaign, 12.2% more compared to the previous year, while the amount to be returned to taxpayers will be 1.8% lower, with 11,650 millions It is expected that a total of 23,281,000 declarations will be submitted in this campaign, 1.2% more than the previous year.
