Presentation of prizes of the Stock Market Competition
Last Wednesday, the prize-giving ceremony of the 19th Stock Market Competition was held, organized by the University of Vic and Caixa Manlleu. This competition, open to UVic student teams, consists of two phases. In the first phase, a total of 18 teams participated and operated in a simulated manner. The three teams with the best results advanced to the second phase.
Winning teams
The winning team of the competition was the team formed by Gil Prims Vila and Ferran Pastor Delgado, students of Business Administration and Management. Second place went to the team of Jordi Sala Arumí and Emília Calm Fàbrega, also students of ADE, and third place went to the team formed by Eric Peyrón Huertas, Alexis Crosas Dorca and Marc Catalán Badosa, students of Journalism.
Amount of earnings
The profits obtained by the winning teams amounted to 2,017.04 euros, which were distributed according to the rules of the competition.
Presidency of the act
The event was chaired by Santi Ponce, dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication, and by Tomàs Moreta, deputy general manager of Caixa Manlleu. Other personalities such as Carme Viladecans, head of the FEC’s Business Department, Jesús Vinyes, competition coordinator and professor at the Business Department, and Carles Capdevila, head of financial markets at Caixa Manlleu, also attended.
