A pioneering event for the nautical of the future
From April 3 to 5, the Olympic Port of Barcelona will become the stage of the Barcelona Electric Marine Show, a fair dedicated to innovation in sustainable nautical. Organized with the collaboration of the National Association of Electric Barcos (ANBE), this event will bring together companies and professionals who are at the forefront of the energy transition in the maritime sector.
International collaborations and prominent innovations
Bajo the slogan ‘Connecting land and sa for a sustainable future’, the fair will host companies such as Temo France, Epropulsion and Water World, which will present electricity propulsion solutions for boats. The Mestral Moll exhibition area will show innovative projects, including the first electric boat driven by Dhamma Blue Hydrogen and Europe’s 3D catamaran, designed to be completely electric and recyclable.
Innovative solutions for recharge
Among the novelties, Vega Chargers will present state -of -the -art load systems, while Sundock will show floating marshes that uses solar energy to recharge boats, an example of how technology can contribute to sustainability.
Dialogues on energy transition
On April 3 and 4, the Mestral Auditorium will host talks and debates on sustainability in nautical, with the participation of the International Electric Marine Association (IEMA). Subjects such as the challenges of nautical electromobility and ways of making port infrastructures are more sustainable.
Activities for families and environmental awareness
On April 5, the family audience will enjoy educational activities on the importance of preserving marine ecosystems. There will be humorous shows and the possibility of living the experience of electric navigation with the boats exposed.
The Olympic Port: a sustainability model
With this event, the Olympic Port reaffirms its commitment to sustainability. The installation of a photovoltaic pergola of 3,560 m² will guarantee the energy self -consumption of the port and will help supply energy to other BSM facilities. This infrastructure is an important step towards circularity and biodiversity.
Adaptation to the effects of climate change
The port has also implemented measures to mitigate the effects of climate change, such as reinforcement of the shelter dock to protect itself from storms and the replacement of concrete panchers with more sustainable floating solutions. These actions have been recognized with awards for sustainable nautical.
A look into the future
As Barcelona Electric Marine Show develops, it is clear that sustainable nautical is not only a trend, but an urgent need. Collaboration between companies, institutions and the community can mark a significant change to a cleaner and more sustainable future for the maritime sector.
