A new chapter for Freestyle in Boí Taüll
The popular Boí Taüll ski resort, under the management of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), has marked the start of the Freestyle season with the opening of its long -awaited Snowpark. Located at an altitude of 2,250 meters in the area of Pla de les Bassetes, this space benefits from a north orientation that guarantees exceptional snow conditions.
Facilities designed for freestyle lovers
Accessing the Snowpark is easy thanks to the Edelweiss ski lift, a dedicated ski lift. Currently, skiers can enjoy an initiation area equipped with two jumps, two drawers and a railing, as well as an advanced jibbing line with three low railings. The station team is working tirelessly to open the big jumps area soon, which promises to be an additional attraction for visitors.
Favorable conditions and future events
With snow thickness, between 25 and 60 cm, Boí Taüll is ready to adapt the snowpark to the weather conditions, ensuring an optimal experience for users. The commitment to the Freestyle discipline is evident with an agenda of exciting events designed to attract all levels of riders.
Calendar of prominent events
Among the scheduled competitions, they emphasize:
- February 22 – Best Trick: Organized by Terror Magazine, this event challenges participants to show their best trick to selected modules, from 16 years old.
- March 1 – Cheese & Crackers : A Slopestyle competition for athletes from 16 years old, where participants will compete in rounds of jumps and railings to get the best score.
- March 22 – Ziga Zaga Boardercross: This test, for Participants of 14 years onwards, includes three -member races in ski and snowboard categories, with an exciting final for the three best classified.
