A quarter full of knowledge and culture
The extensive campus of the Rovira i Virgili University (URV), in collaboration with the Museum of History of Cambrils and the Diputación de Tarragona, will begin its cultural program for the third quarter of the 2024-2025 course. With an offer that includes nine varied activities between April 10 and June 21, the aim is to foster cultural learning and exchange in the community.
Various topics for all tastes
This edition of the program will begin before the Easter festivals, thus allowing a continuity with other cultural events that will be organized in Cambrils this month. The activities will address a wide spectrum of topics, from food and art to biology, history, medicine, archeology, information and literature technologies.
Start of programming with a literary presentation
The starting shot will be on Thursday, April 10, with the presentation of the book “How to get started in the ornithology” by the author Marius Domingo, which will take place in the Fishermen’s Brotherhood. This activity is part of the cycle ‘Days of Books’, promoted by the City Council of Cambrils.
Varied spaces for various activities
The activities will be carried out in various emblematic spaces in Cambrils, including the Fishermen’s Brotherhood, the Cultural Center, the Molí de les Tres Eres, the Josep Salceda i Castells Library, and the Torre del Port, each contributing its unique character to the sessions.
Calendar of outstanding activities
The calendar of activities includes conferences, exhibitions and workshops, which promise to enrich the cultural experience of the attendees.
Some of the scheduled activities
Among the most important activities, on April 29, a conference on the carob tree will be offered by Xavier Rodríguez, and on May 8, Albert Beltran Feliu will talk about the fight against mobile addiction. In addition, on May 17, an art exhibition will be held by Queralt Osorio, as part of the Night of the Museums.
Fostering family participation
Family workshops will also play an important role, with activities such as the creation of ceramic amphorais, aimed at families with children from eight years old, scheduled for May 24.
Final reflections on cultural importance
As the end of the quarter approaches, these activities are expected to not only enrich the knowledge of the participants, but also foster a strong sense of community and cultural interaction in Cambrils. The success of these events will depend on the active participation of the population, which is essential for the cultural vitality of the region.
