Cs Leadership and Future Vision
The leader of Ciutadans a Catalunya and candidate for the 12M, Carlos Carrizosa, has expressed his determination to guarantee adequate funding that covers all the needs of the Catalan people.
In an event with the media this Friday, Carrizosa stressed that the president of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, will not allow Salvador Illa, candidate of the PSC, to assume the presidency of the Generalitat. He believes that this would cause an imbalance between the central government and the Catalan independence spirit.
Clear Vision of Governance
“Whether it’s Sánchez or Illa, one can’t govern while the other is doing it too. It’s an unsustainable situation, since independence would not tolerate it,” said Carrizosa.
Leader of Cs has expressed his conviction that Illa’s political proposals are destined for failure, stating that he will not lead Catalonia after the next elections.
Perspective on Financing
Asked about Illa’s words regarding the improvement of the regional financing system, Carrizosa remarked that Cs advocates a new model that is optimal to cover the demands of all the inhabitants of Catalonia.
“We are committed to establishing a system that satisfies the needs of the entire Catalan population, without falling into historical disputes or misinterpretations of the rights of our territory,” he added.
In his vision, Carrizosa insists on a transparent methodology where the State clearly defines the costs of services in each region, ensuring that there are the necessary resources for this type of financing.
