Yesterday morning, the Pifarré Farm was the setting for the second edition of Art in Horta, an event that brought together families in a festive atmosphere, just as the pearrs started to bloom. After a postponement due to the rains of the last weekend, the event turned out to be a resounding success.

The importance of agroculture

The Councilor for Culture, Pilar Bosch, inaugurated the day, highlighting the relevance of agroculture and orchard as distinguishing elements of the city of Lleida. Bosch said that this year the festival focuses on flowering, thanking producers and organizers for their dedication and effort.

Activities that connect tradition and innovation

Guided tour and pears tasting

The day began with a guided tour of the Agromuseu, where Joan Pifarré narrated the transition from Lleida from a horticultural tradition to a fruit, sharing curiosities on the first entrepreneurs in the area. Attendees then had the opportunity to taste pears of the Conference variety in a field that was beginning to bloom, while immortalizing moments in front of a natural photocall.

Shows and entertainment

The program continued with ‘Forat’, a gestural clown show with Dudu Arnalot that caused laughter in both adults and children. Later, Arbúcies’s rock group, the Ca la Fresca remedy, merged folklore with electronic music, while the audience enjoyed local products tasting and participated in traditional games.

Interactive activities and sustainable mobility

The visitors also explored the interactive installation ‘The Friends of Crusó de Toc de Fusta’, which offered a range of giant automata, puzzles and mechanical games for the whole family. As a novelty, sustainable transport options were provided with free buses that connected Lleida to the farm.

Next day: a new opportunity to enjoy

The next and last edition of this season will be held on Saturday, April 12 in La Torreta de Joan Blanch. Attendees will enjoy a historic agricultural walk, artistic installations and diverse shows, as well as tastings of local jams and drinks.
