A tribute to student imagination
This past Monday, the Saló de Cent de Barcelona hosted a special ceremony: the delivery of the Book Point 2025 Awards. The Councilor for Trade, Restoration and Markets, Raquel Gil, chaired the event, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the artistic talent of young people in the city.
A project with deep roots
The Book Point Awards, born in 2006, are part of the program ‘Commerce and schools’, promoted by the Directorate of Commerce, Restoration and Food. This initiative is the main mission of establishing a link between students and neighborhood stores, with the aim of revitalizing local trade and making its importance visible in the community.
Creativity in action: a reflection of local trade
Students use their plastic talent to express how they perceive local commerce and urban life. In this edition, 38 schools and more than 4,100 students participated, presenting a wide variety of drawings that illustrate their unique vision.
Recognize the best: a committed jury
The jury has selected 32 outstanding works, which are classified into eight categories based on educational levels, from kindergarten to vocational training. This allows a wide range of students to be recognized for their creativity.
An initiative that goes beyond the prize
The 16 best -rated drawings will be reproduced in 240,000 book points, which will be distributed throughout the city during St. George’s Day. Through this action, not only the artistic talent of young people is encouraged, but also the relevance of local trade as an integral part of culture and education.
Activities that connect education and trade
In addition to the awards, the program ‘Commerce and schools’ organizes guided tours of local shops, practical workshops, cultural exploration routes and digital resources, aimed at students of all levels. These activities are aimed at both public and private centers, in order to create a narrower bond between education and the commercial environment.
Encouraging active participation
Trade -based interactive gymkhana and games help students discover and value the cultural heritage of their city, strengthening their connection with local commerce.
Looking to the future
As this initiative continues to grow, its impact on the community is becoming more and more evident, with the promise of stimulating the creativity and learning of young artists in Barcelona.
