A new cycling adventure in Llívia

On July 19, the beautiful town of Llívia will become the starting point for an exciting cycling race, La Gravel Cerdanya, organized by Backroad in collaboration with the City Council. This competition promises to explore the idyllic landscapes of Cerdanya through routes designed for all levels of cyclists.

An event for everyone

Mayor Albert Cruïlles emphasized the importance of this event as a new sports initiative that strengthens the calendar of activities in Llívia. Its aim is not only to attract top -notch cyclists, but also to encourage fans’ participation, thus promoting an inclusive and accessible atmosphere.

Cruïlles said that hosting such competitions provides a significant economic return to the local community, helping to invigorate the tourism and commercial sector of the area.

Diversity of routes and experiences

The director of Backroad, Albert Vilana, explained that Gravel Cerdanya will have three different routes of 179, 100 and 50 kilometers. Each route has been designed to offer a proper level of difficulty for expert and beginner cyclists, with the possibility of participating with mountain bikes and e-bikes.

Complementary activities for the whole family

In addition to the race, attendees will enjoy a series of parallel activities, such as a skill circuit and other family proposals, as well as live music at the point of departure and arrival, which promise to create a festive and welcoming atmosphere.

Practical details of the race

Participants will receive a commemorative bag and will be able to access services such as showers and bicycle cleaning. The race will begin at 6 in the morning from the Sant Guillem Park, with schedules and refreshments adapted to each route.
