A group of users claims the recovery of services
A group of users of the Casal Cívic i Comunitari de Tremp has started a campaign to recover the services lost in recent months. This initiative has managed to collect more than 400 signatures of support.
Users regret the disappearance of services such as the hairdresser, podiatry and bar-restaurant, and ask the Department of Social Rights to work to restore these services. According to the users, these services were very beneficial for many of the members of Casal Cívic.
The initiative was born from the Association of Friends of the Tremp Basin
The initiative to recover lost services at the Tremp Civic and Community Center has been promoted by a group of members of the Association of Friends of the Tremp Basin. This association, which has 440 members, uses the facilities of the Casal Cívic to carry out its activities, especially aimed at the elderly.
The collection of signatures has had a very positive response, as explained by the members of the association. This demonstrates the community’s support and interest in restoring lost services.
The management of the Casal Cívic services
According to Joan Ubach, member of the Associació d’Amics de la Conca de Tremp, the services of the Casal Cívic are awarded by concession through the Department of Social Rights. In recent months, several services such as the hairdresser, podiatry and bar-restaurant have been removed, and have not been restored despite user complaints.
This situation has motivated the group of partners to start a campaign to collect signatures and to contact various institutions, such as the Tremp Town Council, the Pallars Jussà Regional Council and the Government delegation in Tremp. They also expressed their discomfort to President Pere Aragonès during his visit to the capital of Pallars Jussà.
Hope in the claim
The members of the Associació d’Amics de la Conca de Tremp hope that their claim will be successful and that the more than 400 users of the Casal Cívic will be able to enjoy the hairdressing, podiatry and bar-restaurant services again. They consider that the Generalitat must guarantee and improve the services it offers, instead of reducing them.
This initiative is an example of the importance of citizen participation and the defense of public services. The users of Casal Cívic have shown their determination and hope that their demands will be heard and attended to by the competent authorities.
