Strategic collaboration between municipalities
The localities of Cocentaina and Muro have decided to join forces to jointly request European aid, with the aim of adding 10 million euros for various development projects. This initiative seeks to overcome the limitation imposed by the European Union, which excludes municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants of access to individual grants.

At Muro, the City Council plans to establish a cultural district that will not only attract investments, but will also generate high quality sustainable employment opportunities. One of the outstanding projects is the rehabilitation of the old box factory, which will become a dynamic center for educational, environmental and artistic activities.
