Service improvement in some lines

Despite the improvement of the service on some lines such as the R1, **indignation** remains the general tone of Rodalies users, who every two out of three are affected by **incidents** on the train network that hinders or prevents their right to mobility.

Complaints from R3 travelers

This Tuesday, the complaints have been concentrated by the passengers of the R3. “We feel anger and **indignation**”, said Bernat Camps, a member of the platform So that they don’t screw up our train. In his opinion, the passengers of this line are the most damaged. “Practically, the Rodalies service has been normalized except for the R3 line. We have the feeling that we are always the last and we are left out of hand.”

Commuter service between Puigcerdà and Montcada-Ripollet

As reported this morning by Rodalies Catalunya, the service operates between Puigcerdà and Montcada-Ripollet and from this station an alternative road transport has been enabled to Fabra i Puig station, in Barcelona. Once there, passengers are directed to the subway. According to TMB, as of Tuesday, the suburban is operating without incident and with “moderate” growth in validations. In Barcelona city, all train stations are now operational.

Affecting R3 and R4

The R3 is the line most affected by the copper theft and this Tuesday there are only two trains per direction per hour, a totally insufficient number. This fact has caused that there were very few users at Vic station this morning, as the vast majority have looked for alternative transport to travel with. On the other hand, users of the R4 have also chosen to look for alternative transport given the low frequency of trains, two trains per hour each way between Manresa and l’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

Action of the grievance committee

Precisely, this Tuesday, the complaints body of Catalonia, Esther Giménez-Salinas has urged to make Rodalies a “reliable” public service and has asked the **Department** of Territory to send her a document explaining the planned measures to guarantee the rights of users to assistance, information and quality of service while the effects last, which are expected to be long due to the serious effects of the theft on an “important node of connections” located at this station. The union has opened an ex officio action to assess the chaos of the railway network.
