The lack of wristbands causes outrage on social media
The distribution of participant wristbands for the next Firó on Monday 13 May has generated great controversy in the Valley. Social networks have been filled with indignant comments about the lack of bracelets for the farmers who were already members of the collective. Some of them, who had been part of the collective for years, have not been able to obtain their bracelets.
The limitation of other partners and the increase in popularity of Firó
The situation has been aggravated by the limitation of other members who could register during the first Saturday of the stall in Plaça, due to the capacity restrictions imposed by the authorities. In addition, the increase in popularity of the Firó and the increase in members in recent years have contributed to this problem.
Urgent solution for the serious problem
Fortunately, an urgent solution has been found for this serious problem. The organizers have obtained 420 wristbands from additional participants, which will be distributed tomorrow morning at the Plaça stand. These bracelets have been obtained through various actions. On the one hand, Can Dulce has returned to the City Council 120 participant bracelets that had not yet been sold, so that they could be given to the farmers. On the other hand, the Collective of Farmers has returned 300 public wristbands to the Village, in exchange for 300 participant wristbands. This has made it possible to expand the capacity intended for participants, eliminating the area delimited to the Alameda that was intended for the public.
