A party full of activities
From April 22 to 25, Cunit is preparing to host a vibrant celebration of Sant Jordi’s Day, with a wide range of activities that will involve both children and adults. The town will become a cultural epicenter, offering shows, workshops and talks in various spaces.
Creative workshops for the little ones
On the first day, on April 22 at 5:30 pm, the Marta Mata Library will start the program with a children’s workshop entitled “We are artists: we make a flying dragon”. Directed by Cinthia Branco, the activity is designed for children from 6 years old. It is essential to make the prior registration to participate, since the capacity is limited.
The heart of the celebrations: the Plaza de la Vila
On April 23, the Plaza de la Vila will become the heart of the festivals. In the morning, the traditional books and roses stops will be installed, a space where local and visitors will be able to choose their gifts for the day. At 12:00 pm, music and dance will take center stage with a sardana dance, by the Cobla Cossetània, in collaboration with the Cunit Sardanist Grouping.
Afternoon activities and more
The celebration does not stop here. At 18:00, the square will host an exhibition of popular dances, with the participation of the Drac de Cunit and the “Cuca Fera”, organized by the Association of Popular Cunit dances and touched by the fire. This lively exhibition will culminate in a chocolate and cake for the little ones, ensuring fun for all.
Various proposals for all tastes
During the afternoon of April 23, various activities will take place in different parts of the municipality. At 17:00, the Espai Jove will offer a workshop of creation of wooden roses, ideal for young people. To participate, prior registration must be made. At the same time, the Civic Center – Casal Municipal will host a special “Decoupage” session for the Day.
Shows and reflections
At 19:00, the Marta Mata Library will be the scene of a show entitled “Pompeu Fabra: Master Play!”, Aimed at the adult audience, with limited capacity and previous registration.
Culture and fun for all
On April 24, the little ones will enjoy a show by the company Cia Patwa, called “Princesses, dragons, snails and other animals”, at 17:30. On the last day, on April 25, the plenary room of the City Council will host a conference on the history of TV3, presented by Salvador Alsius i Clavera and “Delmacio de Conito”, offering a look at the past and present of Catalan public television.

Montse Cámara, Councilor for Culture, emphasized the importance of reaching the celebration of Sant Jordi in all corners of Cunit, emphasizing that the aim is to encourage the participation of the community and local entities.
