Arrests within the framework of a police operation
In a coordinated action, the authorities have detained four individuals linked to a shootout on February 23 in Tàrrega. All of them belong to the same family and specialized in the retail sale of illegal substances, predominantly cocaine and heroin.
A disturbing shooting
The shooting took place at noon, when an unknown group shot on Ferrocarril Avenue after a discussion. At the time the agents arrived, they found remains of bullets, but no injuries or testimony were identified.
Initial investigation
In the face of this incident, the Criminal Investigation Division of Ponent activated an investigation. The first investigations went to a group of people in the area, some of whom were already under investigation for crimes related to public health.
Registration Operation
Last Wednesday, security forces made three simultaneous searches in the residences of the suspects. The intervention was led by the Special Intervention Group (GEI), with the support of specialized units.
The discovery of weapons and drugs
During the search, a total of 13 firearms were found, including 9 and 22 mm caliber revolvers, as well as a varied collection of white weapons, such as machetes and punches. In addition, narcotics were seized, including 40 grams of cocaine and 120 grams of hashish, among others.
Key arrests
The arrests included a 19 -year -old, and his father, with whom an arsenal of weapons and drugs was discovered. A 31 -year -old man who had mobile devices and a precision scale were also arrested, as well as a vehicle with a bullet hole.
A suspected perpetrator
Another of the detainees, a 43 -year -old man, is considered the alleged perpetrator and has been accused of attempted homicide. In total, the arrested ones face multiple positions, including the illegal possession of weapons and crimes against public health.
Future of research
The investigation continues to actively, with the authorities analyzing the recovered weapons and projectiles. The detainees, with a criminal record, will be submitted before the Cervera Court of Instruction to deal with their legal burdens.
