A festival full of surprises

From Monday, Games lovers can explore the updated program of the IX Pyrenees Game Festival, available on their web portal. The Deputy Mayor of La Seu d’Urgell, Gemma Tó, together with the organizers, Marc Travé and Pablo Giménez, have shared the details of this edition, which promises to be more exciting than ever.

Innovative collaborations

In this new edition, the festival will be supported by Puma, a local company dedicated to electricity supply, as well as the active participation of the Alt Urgell County Council. The latter will provide two activities focused on sustainability and energy, which will enrich the experience of attendees.

European projects and traditional games

Another of the highlights is the collaboration with INEFC Pirineus, which will present a European project dedicated to traditional Games, providing a cultural and educational dimension to the festival.

Creativity and collaboration

This year’s festival will also emphasize the creation of new games, thanks to the collaboration with the Ludo Association, which works to promote board games as a form of cultural expression.

Special decoration for the occasion

For the first time, during the festival, two public spaces in La Seu d’Urgell will show figures of ‘Meleples’, one of medium size yellow and one of large blue. These pieces of wood, which represent players in board games, have become a distinguishing symbol of the festival.

Key dates and varied activities

The festival will take place from April 4 to 6, but from March 17, attendees will enjoy games for all audiences, with the participation of about twenty publishers. The program will include 20 playgrounds, 23 publishers and 63 entities, as well as 12 championships with 392 places available.

A festival accessible to everyone

Reinforcing its commitment to inclusion, the festival will again offer a room with games adapted for people with visual disabilities. The program will include pictograms that will help identify areas with high levels of noise and agglomerations, thus guaranteeing a pleasant experience for all.

Registration and participation

Registration to participate in the various activities of the festival will open the first week of March through the official website. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy exciting games and learn about games in an immersive way.

A bright future for the game

With a rich program in new features and an inclusive approach, the 9th Pyrenees Game Festival is presented as an unmissable appointment for all game lovers. Its evolution and adaptation to the new times promise a vibrant future for this celebration of the game.
