A day for interactive learning
On May 14, the streets will become a large outdoor classroom with the second edition of the event “Tasting of games. Educational games on the street”. This initiative seeks to offer a range of varied extra -curricular activities, with the aim of enhancing the learning of children and adolescents in the area, while promoting inclusive and equitable education.
A circuit of fun and knowledge
The proposal includes a closed circuit in a public space where attendees can enjoy educational games that cover various topics. The games will find manipulative, linguistic, mathematical and abstract options, all designed to enhance the skills of the participants. This day will have the collaboration of Primary and Secondary Education Centers in Tarragona, who will help make learning visible through the game.
Fostering Catalan and family participation
Framed within the Environment Education Plan, the event seeks not only to involve students, but also their families, in the practice of board games, thus promoting the use of the Catalan language. A highlight of this course is the working group “Ponent Play”, where the teachers of the Ponent schools receive training on the implementation of board games in both the classroom and at home.
Ludoforta: a project that transforms recreation
The initiative is born of the project “Ludoforta” of the Torreforta Institute, which seeks to stimulate the moments of recreation of the students. Through the program “You want to play, I explain it”, the students not only learn to play, but also develop communicative and social skills, all while staying away from the screens during their free time.
Programming of the day
The day will be divided into two different sessions. In the morning, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Pilar Padells Square will host games aimed at educational centers, with fast 12 -minute games in four different spaces, focusing on linguistic, mathematical and symbolic topics. In the afternoon, the space will be transformed for families with the activity “The Island of Games”, where you can explore board games that represent mountains, water and palm trees, each with its specific theme.
An opportunity for the community
This day is presented as a unique opportunity for the community, where education and play merge to create a space of fun and learning. In order to build a more polite and connected future, board games emerge as a powerful tool for the development of younger people.
