A dive in the world of vermouth
Bodegas Yzaguirre has kicked off an innovative proposal called Yzaguirre Experience, a guided tour that allows those who are passionate about wine tourism and gastronomy exploring the new Morell facilities. Attendees can learn about the fascinating process of elaboration of vermouth, deepen the rich story of the brand and enjoy a final tasting that promises to be a real revelation of Yzaguirre’s flavors.
A sensory journey
The route has been meticulously designed to provide a unique sensory experience. As the organizers explain, “the aim is to provide an educational and sensory experience that allows visitors to understand both the craft and the rich story that surrounds each drop of vermouth. Each aspect of the vermouth can be perceived with every way; now participants can live it immersive.”
A tasting that leaves imprint
The visit concludes with a guided tasting of five emblematic varieties of Yzaguirre: the red classic, the classic white, the Rosé, the red reserve and the red reserve of the 130th anniversary, each with its own history and personality.
A space designed by excellence
The new Yzaguirre Winery is an impressive architectural work, designed by Josep Maria Borràs, from the Carbonell Figueras studio. The building, which fuses Gaudí -inspired design elements with natural materials such as wood, is a reflection of the authenticity and dedication to the excellence that characterize the company.
A modernist infrastructure
With an attractive facade and 5,000 m2 of traditional roof, the building houses 3,500 m2 useful on the ground floor. The interior stands out for its natural lighting, which complements the rich story of more than 140 years of vermouth, combining tradition with contemporary constructive techniques.
Production and recognized trajectory
Since arriving in Reus in 1884, Bodegas Yzaguirre has become one of the leaders in the sector. Currently, its annual production amounts to 4.5 million liters of various varieties of vermouth, which are distributed to international markets such as the United States, with a strong presence in Asturias and the Cantabrian cornice in Spain.
A legacy that lasts
The company, a pioneer in the bottling of glass in glass in Spain, celebrated its 140th anniversary last year. With the new winery, Yzaguirre strengthens his commitment to wine tourism and seeks to consolidate itself as an essential destination on the vermouth route.
