An operation coordinated against crime
Police officers of the Generalitat-Mossos d’Esquadra have carried out a significant operation that culminated in the arrest of a 36-year-old man on April 9, suspected of violating laws on industrial property. In addition, two other individuals, 36 and 60, are under investigation for their connection with this illegal activity.
A well -organized plan
The investigation began in January, when agents observed a group of manters operating with three vans to store products illegally. These vehicles were strategically parked near the Paseo Marítimo de Coma-ruga, functioning as distribution points for their sales.
Constant surveillance and suspicious activity
The Mossos noticed that the vehicles were always monitored, with a constant movement of goods arriving every Friday morning and stayed until Monday. This routine raised suspicions and led the team to intervene.
Decisive action and shocking results
On April 7, the agents acted, removing the parked vans on Parliament Avenue and on Pándols i Ribera streets. In a meticulous inspection, 1,495 counterfeit articles were discovered, including sportswear, footwear and accessories from recognized brands.
A huge economic impact
The confiscated products could be a loss of more than one million euros for the legal market, while the manters involved could have made profits of up to 44,000 euros, selling articles at dramatically reduced prices.
Disarticulation of a network of counterfeit
Investigations from the urban crime group have revealed that the detainee acted as a logistics head, being responsible for the supply of counterfeit articles, while the other two investigated were engaged in distribution and sale.
An uncertain future for those involved
After his arrest, the individual was released with the obligation to submit to the judicial authority when required. This operation highlights the determination of the authorities to combat illegal trade and forgery in the territory.
