Three arrested as responsible for the cultivation
The National Police and the Mossos d’Esquadra have ended a marijuana plantation that was located in an old plaster factory in Figueres. In this operation, they discovered 274 cultivated plants and a room with 22.43 kg of dried marijuana, in addition to 900 euros in cash.
As a result of the investigation in this ship, the security forces arrested three people as responsible for the cultivation. They are members of the same family, with one of them imprisoned and the other two free awaiting trial.
Research and dismantling
The investigation of this plantation began last February when the authorities received information that marijuana was being grown in this ship for distribution. From there, a device was organized to access the ship and it was swept with the corresponding judicial authorization.
Inside the ship, the agents discovered an armored door that gave access to the plantation, where they found the 274 marijuana plants and a room intended for drying plants with the 22 kg of dried marijuana.
The detainees had an organization with thermal insulators, spotlights, extractors, electrical transformers and air conditioners to facilitate the growth of plants, as well as a machine to count bills. The authorities emphasize the perfect structure of the organization.
Fertile land for marijuana plantations
The police authorities remember that the Alt Empordà is a territory where the most difficult to detect marijuana plantations proliferate and are dedicated to the cultivation and sale of drugs in the south of France.
