The town of Alcamp has been the perfect scenario for the 42nd edition of the Apviesa Otso, an event that has attracted mountain racing enthusiasts throughout the European continent. This weekend, the community has been filled with runners, tourists and a spirit of celebration that marks the beginning of a season full of sports activities in Andorra.

Mass participation and international diversity

With three career distances that offered challenges of 21, 12 and 7 kilometers, the naughty has had the participation of hundreds of runners, representing 25 different nationalities. This year, the number of participants has exceeded all the previous editions, turning Alcamp into a true melting pot of sports cultures and passions.

Positive assessments of the organizers

Nino Marot, Minister of Sports and Economic Reactivation, expressed satisfaction with the development of the event, highlighting the joy of competitors for the quality of the supplies and the beauty of the landscape. ‘Euphoria has been remarkable, without incident to report,’ he said, already anticipating the work towards the 2026 edition.

Jordi Solé, director of the race, also shared his enthusiasm for the success of the event, announcing that registration for the next edition will open on June 2. “We are already planning the next experience for all runners,” he added.

Awards and recognition ceremony

The delivery of medals took place in the afternoon, where the athletes were surprised with a video summary that captured the most prominent moments of the competition. The major consul, Laura Mas, together with the Minister of Tourism and the Minister of Tourism, Jordi Torres, participated in the ceremony, recognizing the effort and dedication of all runners.

21 km race

Xavier Sebastià and Irati Askagorta were the winners in the distance of 21 km, closely followed by Albert Ballús and Ricard Tenza in the male category, while Petra Arvela and Anna Fernández stood out in the female.

12 km race

In the 12 km category, the male podium was occupied by Marc Font, David Gutiérrex and Lucas Alvàrez, while Lauré Hostalrich, Pauline Mazé and Mireia Roca took the honors in the women’s category.

7 km race

The 7 km shortest race was the winner of the Kim Ambor, followed by Iran Cobos and David Kaufmann. In the women’s category, Naia Antor won the victory, followed by Elsa Pintado and Elena Melgarejo.

Records and marathon champions

In the 42 km marathon, the champions of last year, Samuel Ponce and Alisa Prokhorova, managed to overcome their own records, with times of 4:14:39 and 5:48:12, respectively, improving their performance of the previous edition.

In the distance of 84 km, Sergi Pascuet and Myrvete Zekaj were consecrated as the winners, completing the test with times of 09:35:06 and 13:01:41, respectively, highlighting the level of competitiveness and resistance of the participants.

A brilliant future for the naughty tyso

The Naughty OSO has not only been a sporting event, but a festival that has joined communities and has promoted love for nature and sport. As the next editions are advanced, the expectation grows, promising even more emotion and participation in this celebration of running in the heart of the Pyrenees.
