An initiative for infants
The Department of Education of the City of Alcoy has launched an ambitious program of activities during the month of April, with the aim of making accessible the rich culture and traditions of the city to the youngest. A total of 1,773 students have registered to participate in these proposals that seek to combine fun and learning.
Cultural workshops and activities
From 7 to April 30, students will enjoy a series of activities designed for different educational levels, including teaching workshops on ‘Medieval Alcoy and its parties’. This activity has involved seven educational centers, where the little ones have explored local history through games and visits to the castle.
Visits and learning through the gymkhana
The 3rd and 4th grade students visited the Alcoyan Museum of the Festival, while the 5th and 6th graders explored the historic center of Alcoy. In addition, a gymkhana for primary school students and ESO has allowed young people to gain knowledge of the historical heritage of the city in a fun way.
Spring School: a conciliation space
In addition to cultural activities, the Department of Education has organized a new edition of the Spring School, which will take place on April 17, 22, 23, 24 and 25, 2025. This initiative aims to facilitate the conciliation between working and family life, offering a safe and educational space for students.
Registrations and places available
Intended for children and elementary students, as well as special education students at the CEE Tomàs Llácer, the Spring School will be installed in various educational centers. In total, 132 places have been reserved, with an equitable distribution between primary and EEC centers.
Reflections on educational impact
Alberto Belda, Councilor for Education, has stated the importance of these initiatives: “With these proposals, we not only transmit the cultural richness of Alcoy, but also help families during the class without class. The great participation of 1,773 students demonstrates the acceptance of these activities and the need to continue offering them in the future.”
