Start of works
This week the expansion and improvement works of the El Pla Primary Care Center begin. The Generalitat’s project aims to move the imaging diagnostic service, currently located at the CAP de la Rambla, to the Ambulatory of El Pla. In addition, the Adult Mental Health Center will also be located, which is currently located in the Pins d’Or complex. The works also aim to improve the comfort of patients and the professionals who work at the CAP, improving the care spaces and the functionality of the centre.
Temporary services
During the construction period, which will extend until December 2018, continuing care until 12 midnight and pediatric care will be temporarily moved to the CAP de la Rambla from May 15. The hours of the services will remain the same to guarantee the same quality and attention. For any questions, you can call the CatSalut Respon phone number 061, which is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Details of the works
The works envisage the construction of a new two-storey building attached to the current one, with an area of 850 m2. The two blocks will be connected and there will be a large inner courtyard between them.
A vindication of the community
The expansion of the El Pla ambulatory has been a demand for years in Sant Feliu. After several parliamentary resolutions and proposals presented by the Catalan Health Service, the expansion project has finally been approved. This improvement will make it possible to offer better health care to the community.
