A Day of Discovery and Culture
The inward museum, successor to the in Museum event, promises a unique day for all those who are passionate about culture and history. This year, the appointment is the first of March 2025, and a window opens on the other side of the museums, a space often unknown to the general public.
News and extension of offers
The new features of this edition include the inclusion of the Barcelona Photographic Archive and the Museum of Archeology of Catalonia, thus expanding the range of institutions participating in seventeen. From February 17, reserves will be essential to guarantee a place in this immersive experience.
Unique guided tours
Guided tours, suitable for over 12 years, will allow attendees to explore emblematic spaces, such as the Alexander Calder Mercury Fountain at the Joan Miró Foundation or the Conservation Laboratory at the Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona. Each center offers various schedules and options that adapt to different interests.
Personalized experiences
For example, at the Barcelona Maritime Museum, visitors will be able to choose from six types of visits, including the General Archive and the Conservation Workshop. At the Picasso Museum, attendees will be able to know the Center for Knowledge and Research or the Museum’s reserves, offering personalization of the experience.
A commitment to culture
Inland Museum is an initiative promoted by the Barcelona Institute of Culture, with the aim of making visible the important work of museums as guardians of cultural and historical heritage. Through this day, it seeks to bring heritage closer to society and foster a deeper interest in history.

The centers that will participate in this event include: Photographic Archive of Barcelona, Montjuïc Castle, Joan Miró Foundation, MACBA, Museum of Archeology of Catalonia, Museum of History of Barcelona, Museum of Natural Sciences, Museum of Music, Museum of the Design of Barcelona, Frederic Marès Museum, Maritime Museum of Barcelona, National Art Museum of Catalonia, Picasso Museum of Barcelona, and the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes.
