Innovation in the Obrador: Spring Courses

The Beckett Room has opened its doors to a new edition of courses in the Obrador, with a fresh approach to contemporary drama. One of the highlights of this season is led by Judith Pujol, a prominent figure in the Catalan stage scene.

Judith Pujol: a creative journey

Pujol is recognized for his versatility as a stage creator, combining theatrical direction with artistic research and cultural management. It has been part of the artistic team of Carme Portaceli and co -founder of the obskené company. His career includes significant works such as ‘Garbí wind and a little fear’ and ‘From ridge to heaven’, which reflect his ability to integrate different disciplines in theatrical creation.

A practical and innovative course

This new course, entitled “Creation of stage materials from non -strictly textual dramaturgies”, aims to be a space for creative experimentation. Pujol emphasizes that, although the course continues in line with its previous proposal of ‘Visual Dramaturgy’, the new workshop will focus more on the creative process itself.

Three axes of creation

The course will be organized around three well -defined lines of work. The first is visual theater, which uses images and objects as starting points for dramaturgy. The second line involves the exploration of diverse materials, such as music and non -dramatic texts, to enrich the creative process. Finally, the students will be encouraged to bring their own interests, allowing a dialogue between their ideas and the resources provided by the course.

Dates and inscriptions

The course will be taught from April 30 to June 18, 2025, every Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm. Those interested in participating in this unique experience can register through the Sala Beckett website, where they will be able to explore a new approach to theater creation.

Final reflections

As the dramaturgy evolves, initiatives like this in the Beckett Room are essential to foster creativity and experimentation among new creators. With the guide of Judith Pujol, participants will have the opportunity to challenge conventions and discover new ways of expressing themselves through stage art.
