Extension of the T-342 Road
The conditioning works on the T-342 road, between Roquetes and les Reguers, will be finished by the end of the year. The Diputació de Tarragona is working on the expansion of the Reguers bridge, over the ravine of the Vall Cervera, which will increase from 5 to 8 meters in width to guarantee the safe simultaneous passage of two vehicles. The investment to condition the road is 4.5 million euros. The works include the improvement of the route in a section of 5.76 kilometers, the construction of two roundabouts and a cycling and pedestrian route.

According to data from the provincial body, around 3,200 vehicles travel every day on the T-342, road to Alfara de Carles and access to the natural park of Els Ports and Mont Caro.
Progress of the Works
In recent weeks, the deep foundations have already been executed and the slabs for the extension of the Reguers bridge have been placed, where 11,000 kilos of steel have been installed. The infrastructure will open in September. The new roundabouts have been built at the Roquetes intersection and at the access to the Port and Mont Caro.
