Preparations for the tourist season

Holy Week is a very important tourist season in Extremadura, and in the coming days a large number of road trips are expected. According to forecasts from the General Directorate of Traffic, it is estimated that there will be around 278,000 car trips in the region during this period.

During Holy Week, many Extremadurans who live outside the region return to spend these holidays, especially young people who study and work in other regions. In addition, the arrival of a large number of tourists who are looking to enjoy their holidays without the summer heat characteristic of the Spanish southwest is expected.

In addition, it is recommended to travel without setting an arrival time and make rest stops along the way.
