FGC increases the frequency of the night service on Fridays and holiday eves
FGC has announced that from this Friday, it will extend the service between Plaça Espanya and Martorell Enllaç on Friday nights and the eve of public holidays until two in the morning, except for the month of August. This extension of the service will allow users to enjoy a wider and more comfortable transport option during Friday nights and the eve of public holidays, improving the accessibility and comfort of night trips.
Extension of route and schedule
This extension implies that four trains of the L8 line will integrate the S8 line and will reach Martorell Enllaç. This means that the trains that previously ended the route at Molí Nou Ciutat Cooperativa will now continue to Martorell Enllaç on Friday nights and on the eve of public holidays. The new departure and arrival times offer more flexibility to users, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the city until later hours and offering a safe and comfortable return home option.
Expansion of coverage and accessibility
The extension of the route of the four trains to Martorell Enllaç also implies an improvement in the coverage and accessibility of the stations on the Llobregat-Anoia line. This improvement benefits five municipalities of the Baix Llobregat, which will see the public transport service extended until two in the morning. This favors the residents of these municipalities, offering them more travel options and improving their quality of life in terms of transport.
Maintenance of step frequency
Despite this extension of the service, the rest of the trains that run from midnight on the L8 line will maintain their route and timetable, with the same current frequency of 20 minutes.
