A weekend full of action in Encamp
The 42nd edition of the Otso Crossing of Encamp has transformed this town into the central nucleus of mountain racing, marking the beginning of a vibrant sports calendar that Andorra will live in the coming weeks. With a massive participation, the weekend witnessed an event that has captivated both runners and visitors.
An international participation
With the races of 21, 12 and 7 km as protagonists, Encamp has received hundreds of runners, representing up to 25 nationalities in Europe. The competition has passed the previous editions in number of participants, reflecting the growing attraction of this event.

Nino Marot, Minister of Sports and Economic Reactivation, expressed his satisfaction with the results of the crossing, emphasizing the joy of the runners and the quality of the organization. He emphasized that this year’s edition has been a success without incident, and encouraged to begin preparing for the 2026 edition.
Preparations for the future
Jordi Solé, director of the race, has also shared his enthusiasm, announcing that registrations for the next edition will open on June 2. His gaze to the future reflects the commitment to improve and innovate in each new edition.

21 km courses
Xavier Sebastià and Irati Askagorta were the winners in the race of 21 km, with Albert Ballús and Ricard Tenza completing the male podium, while Petra Arvela and Anna Fernández have stood out in the women’s category.
12 km
In the 12 km distance, the male podium was occupied by Marc Font, David Gutiérrex and Lucas Alvàrez, while Lauré Hostalrich, Pauline Mazé and Mireia Roca have shone in the women’s category.
7 km courses
In the shortest race of 7 km, the local runner Kim withor was the winner, followed by Iban Cobos and David Kaufmann. In the women’s category, Naia Antor has raised first, with Elsa Pintado and Elena Melgarejo completing the podium.
Revalidating Titles in the 42 km Race of 42 km
On Saturday, the 42 km race champions, Samuel Ponce and Alisa Prokhorova, have managed to validate their titles with better times than last year, emphasizing their dominance in this demanding distance.
Personal records
Ponce has marked an impressive time of 4:14:39, improving its previous record in three quarters, while Prokhorova ended with 5:48:12, also surpassing its previous brand.
New Champions in the Distance of 84 km
The winners of the distance of 84 km were Sergi Pascuet, of Andorra, and Myrvete Zekaj, of Kosovo, with a time of 09:35:06 and 13:01:41, respectively, highlighting their efforts and determination.
