The Platform for Democratic Memory is a coalition of more than 50 entities and organizations that work to defend the rights of the victims of the Civil War and the Franco regime. This platform has announced a large citizen mobilization for the defense of democratic memory in the Balearic Islands.
A mobilization against the repeal of the Law of Democratic Memory
The aim of this mobilization is to protest against the repeal of the Law of Democratic Memory of the Balearic Islands. This law has been approved with the support of the Popular Party and aims to guarantee the rights of the victims of the Franco regime and to promote justice and reparation.
A cry in favor of human rights and democracy
The mobilization, which will take place on June 2 in Plaça de Cort de Palma, will be a rallying cry in favor of human rights and democracy. The importance of the Law of Democratic Memory

In addition, the law requires the removal of Francoist symbols from public spaces and promotes reparation and non-repetition.
