The work committee of Foment del Treball requests the necessary data
The work commission created by Foment del Treball to interpret Catalonia’s fiscal balances with respect to the State has demanded ‘all the data’ to begin its work, according to a statement issued today.
Experts express their concern
The experts who are part of the commission have expressed their concern about the lack of data necessary to carry out an adequate scientific task. They have regretted that there are currently insufficient resources to carry out a comprehensive analysis.
Objectives of the commission
The objective of the work committee of Foment del Treball is to reflect the economic flow between the autonomous communities and to determine the existing deficits between the different autonomous administrations and the State administration. This will allow a clearer view of Catalonia’s fiscal situation.
The members of the commission
The commission is made up of different experts in the economic and academic fields. Among the members are the coordinator of the Institute of Economic Development Studies, the executive director of the Foundation for Applied Economics Studies (Fedea), the UPF professor, the first rector of the Abat Oliba CEU University and director of the Family Business Institute, the director of Development Economics, a professor at the UB, a doctor from the same university, a lawyer and the advisor to the presidency of Development.
