A new sports and fun season
The City Council of Igualada is in full preparation to launch two exciting initiatives for the summer: sports and summer. These activities are designed to provide a learning and entertainment experience for children in the city, promoting coexistence and leisure in a safe environment.
Sports 2025: Active fun and positive values
Scheduled by the Municipal Sports Service, the Sports will take place from June 23 to July 25 and will be addressed to children and adolescents between 4 and 14 years old (born between 2011 and 2020). This edition will offer five weeks full of recreational, sports and educational activities, with the aim of promoting healthy habits and values such as coexistence and teamwork.
New organization for a better service
Due to the remodeling works at the Les Comes Sports Complex, a change has been made in the distribution of age spaces: the youngest (born between 2015 and 2020) will carry out the activities in the complex, while the older ones (born between 2011 and 2014) will move to the Joan Mercader Institute and in the Cypress Park. Each group will have trained monitors and a coordinator to guarantee a quality experience.
Schedules and registrations
The activities hours will be from 9:00 to 13:00, with a reception service available from 8:00 am. In addition, a bus service will be offered with regular routes. The registrations will begin on Wednesday, May 21 at 08:00 hours for registered children, and a day later for the rest, through the web page Sports Sports.cat or in person at the complex.
Summer 2025: A trip through local heritage
The Children’s Department presents the summer, a leisure house for children from 3 to 12 years old, with a rich offer in activities that include art workshops, games, excursions and the popular bivouac night. This year, the Casal will focus on the discovery of the city’s spaces, with the aim of valuing local heritage.
Opening party
The starting party will be held in the Town Hall Square, where an animation show will be organized that will involve all the summer houses in the city, including schools, entities and clubs.
Calendar and locations of the Summer
The Casal will extend in two shifts: from June 30 to August 1 in several schools, including the Garcia Fossas school and the Gabriel Castellà school, and from August 26 to September 5 in the slaughterhouse. Pre -registrations can be made from May 21 to 27 through infanciaryigualada.cat.
Informative meeting for families
Prior to the start of the casals, a face -to -face meeting will be called for summer 825 parents, to provide all the necessary information on the activity.
