Next Saturday, May 24, Igualada will be preparing to live an exceptional day with Igualada Urban Running, an event that has been able to win a prominent place in the city’s sports calendar. With an inclusive approach, this sport festival attracts participants of all ages and conditions.

Patricia Illa, Councilor for Sports, emphasized the importance of this activity, emphasizing how it contributes not only to promoting a healthy lifestyle, but also to a significant solidarity cause. ‘It is a unique opportunity to share moments with family and friends, whether running or walking,’ he added.
Collaborations that make the difference
Among the novelties of this year, the collaboration with the local company Punto Blanco, which joins as the sponsor of the main race. The first participants will receive a special gift: sports socks, which will be able to pick up at the company store during the days after the event.

Races for all ages
Igualada Urban Running includes a 5 km competitive race, designed for both novice runners and experienced athletes. With prizes by categories, the race will start at 19:00 from the Plaza de Cal Font.
Children’s activities
The little ones will also have their moment of glory with the races sponsored by Kids & Us. The Mini Run, for children from 3 to 6 years old, and the Kids & Us Run, for children from 6 to 11 years old, will promote physical activity in a fun and non -competitive way.
Social Commitment: Solidarity Walk
The day will include a solidarity hike called ‘Igualada Urban underway’, which aims to raise funds for the Cancer Association. This activity, 3.4 km, will begin at 18:00 and is accessible to all.
Registration and contributions
Participants can register through various outlets and contribute to a minimum donation of € 3 to receive a technical shirt as a memory.
