A renewed event for local trade
From May 3 to 10, Igualada experienced a new edition of the Slow Shopping, an initiative that had the active participation of more than 50 local shops. The City Council, through the Commerce Area, emphasized the successes of this campaign, which has evolved to adapt to new consumer habits.
A digital platform for a new world of purchases
One of the most significant changes this year has been the creation of the web www.igualadaslowshopping.cat, which replaces traditional printed plans. This digital tool not only facilitates access to information on the participating shops, but also includes promotions and activities, all in a sustainable format.
A positive response to digitization
The Councilor for Commerce, Jordi Marcè, emphasized that this edition has been a turning point, with a significant emphasis on digitalization, which has received an enthusiastic response from citizens.
Draws and prizes that attract customers
During the Slow Shopping week, customers had the opportunity to participate in special raffles. Using a QR code, they could register to win attractive prizes such as a balloon flight or tickets for cinema and theater.
The prizes winners
The lucky winners were: Fina Palomas Castellví (balloon flight), and a group of participants who won tickets for cinema and theater, as well as captives during the European Balloon Festival.
A festive closure for a successful campaign
The campaign was closed on Saturday, May 10 with activities for children in the Plaza de Cal Font, while the street Òdena became a festive space with shops exhibiting its products on the street.
With this edition, Igualada reaffirms Slow Shopping as an innovative and sustainable model to promote local trade, adapting to the current needs of consumers.
