An unforgettable day in Igualada
On May 24, the city of Igualada is preparing to host a renewed edition of Igualada Urban Running, a sporting event that has gained great popularity and promotes values such as health and solidarity among its participants.
Fostering sports and community union
Patricia Illa, Councilor for Sports, emphasized the importance of this activity, which not only promotes sport, but also unites the community around a noble cause. “We invite everyone to live a day full of excitement, whether running, walking or simply enjoying the atmosphere with family and friends,” said Island.
Collaborations that make the difference
One of the novelties of this year is the involvement of the local company Punto Blanco, which will act as the main sponsor of the race. The first participants will receive a special gift: sports socks that they can pick up at the company store over the weekend of the event.
Races for all ages
The Igualada Urban Running will include a competition of 5 km, with departure at 19:00 from the square of Cal Font. Athletes, both amateur and professional, have already enthuscked enthusiastically, waiting for the possibility of winning awards.
Special activities for the little ones
Children’s races sponsored by Kids & Us will be one of the main attractions again, with the Mini Run for children from 3 to 6 years old and the Kids & Us Run for children from 6 to 11 years old. Anna Torres, a Kids & Us representative, mentioned that fun activities will be prepared throughout the morning to entertain the little ones.
Solidarity in Each Step
The solidarity hike “Igualada Urban underway”, which travels 3.4 km through the city center, is another of the outstanding activities. The collected funds will go to the Cancer Association, with registrations that can be made in various local shops.
A day full of actions and entertainment
The day will be full of activities for the whole family. From 10:00 am, participants will be able to collect the bibs, and from 10:30 h will be organized activities such as inflatables, crafts and a zumba masterclass to raise money for a solidarity cause.
