A transformative encounter in La Seu d’Urgell
Next Wednesday, December 11, Seu d’Urgell will host a unique event organized by Xarxaprod, the Network of Creative and Production Spaces in Catalonia. This day, entitled ‘How to become an educational and mediation agent in your environment. Proposals in rural contexts’, will take place between 10am and 2pm in the Sant Domènec room, offering a space for collaboration and educational innovation.
Reinventing the role of artistic creation
Xarxaprod seeks to explore how creative spaces can act as pedagogical agents in rural environments. This event is intended as a forum for dialogue and exchange of ideas, with the aim of showcasing innovative methodologies and presenting success stories in the field of artistic education.
An enriching program
The day will include several outstanding presentations. Marta López Costa, professor at the UOC, will share resources to develop educational projects in rural contexts. Ester Martínez Rubio, from the Department of Culture, will address strategies for obtaining funding for creative projects. Finally, Sergi Díaz will explain the Program for the improvement of the presence of the arts in education, a key initiative to promote the interaction between art and education.
Exemplary experiences in mediation
During the day, projects that exemplify good practices in artistic education will be presented. Among them, the CACiS project, directed by Roser Oduber, which promotes sustainability through contemporary art. Also, ‘Teatre des de dins’ with Maria Hervàs, and ‘Homo Pirinensis’ with Albert Galindo, which illustrate the diversity of initiatives that merge art and education in rural environments.
Xarxaprod: a creative support network
Founded in 2009, Xarxaprod is a non-profit association that brings together around fifty spaces dedicated to contemporary creation in Catalonia. This network works to promote and defend artistic creation, optimizing resources and facilitating the relationship between creators and the public. Through its action at a national and international level, Xarxaprod seeks to guarantee good practices in the creative sector.
Towards a collaborative future
As the day approaches, it is shaping up to be a unique opportunity for the artistic and educational community. Through the exchange of ideas and experiences, it aims to establish a new path towards a more inclusive and creative education, one that responds to the challenges and needs of rural contexts.
