Cèlia Garbí Lamich, born in Barcelona in 1960, has been a resident of Armentera since 1983. As a history teacher at the Palafrugell high school, she led an independent candidacy with the support of Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC) last year, winning the municipal elections and becoming the mayoress of the town.
