Four Drivers Intercepted for Exceeding Alcohol Level
In Asturias, agents from the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard have investigated four drivers who were intercepted for driving while intoxicated, exceeding the permitted blood alcohol limits.
Variation in Alcohol Levels
During preventive checks carried out in Cangas de Onís, Llanes, Navia and Noreña, it was discovered that one of the drivers quadrupled the allowed rate, while another quintupled it. A third refused to submit to the relevant tests.
Driver Details
The drivers involved were between 30 and 58 years old. Two of them were repeat offenders and were driving with expired permits, having not completed the road awareness and re-education course after their permit was previously withdrawn.
Control Results
During the controls carried out in different locations, various blood alcohol levels were detected in the intercepted drivers, some of whom were repeat offenders and did not have valid permits.
Citizen Collaboration
In one of the cases, citizen collaboration was key to alerting the authorities about a driver who refused to undergo the tests, being subsequently located and taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.
Police Actions
Another driver was stopped for speeding, showing signs of alcohol intoxication. The Civil Guard has taken the corresponding measures to guarantee road safety in the region.
