An Opportunity Forum at FiraReus
On February 12, 2025, FiraReus hosted the eighth CAT SUD Investment Forum, an event that brought together more than 180 professionals, including entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders from the Camp de Tarragona, Terres de l’Ebre and Baix Penedès regions.

Among the prominent attendees were Josep Baiges, Councilor for Economic Promotion, and Montse Adan, First Deputy Mayor of Tarragona, who provided their vision on the importance of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Innovative Projects Presented
During the day, six innovative business initiatives covering various sectors were presented. Among them, Biohome, which presents a digital solution for biomass, automating the management of orders and deliveries.
Technological and Environmental Innovations
The Tarranix Optical Chip project stands out as the first photonic chip designed and manufactured in Europe, promising improved energy efficiency and a significant increase in computing capacity. At the same time, Fast Innovation offers a platform that facilitates business innovation through the use of artificial intelligence agents.
Advances in Nanotechnology and Cosmetics
Nanochronia presented an innovative system based on nanostructured sensors to detect gases such as hydrogen and methane, while Nawï Cosmetics showcased its range of natural, sustainable and inclusive products.
Health and Wellbeing through Nutrition
Biophenolics closed the presentations with its range of nutraceutical products that promote general well-being, taking advantage of the properties of polyphenols and natural ingredients.
Networking and Business Synergies
The forum functioned as an ideal space for networking, with a round table entitled “Investing to grow together: value and connection”, which allowed for a debate on the expectations of investors and entrepreneurs.
A Promising Future for Startups
The fundamental objective of the CAT SUD Investment Forum is to establish connections between projects with growth potential and investors looking for opportunities. This initiative is the result of collaboration between several institutions, including the Reus City Council and the Rovira i Virgili University.
