Visit of the Provincial Council of Lleida to the Municipalities of Salàs de Pallars and Abella de la Conca
The president of the Provincial Council of Lleida, Joan Talarn, accompanied by the deputy Marc Baró, paid a visit this Thursday to the towns of Salàs de Pallars and Abella de la Conca.
In this journey, he has committed to addressing the structural issues that affect these municipalities, looking for effective solutions.
Meetings and Commitments
In Salàs de Pallars, President Talarn held a meeting with the mayor Jaume Solé, the first lieutenant of the mayor Toni Millet, the second lieutenant of the mayor Mireia Gómez, and the councilor Laia Caballer.
During this meeting, a commitment was established by the Diputació de Lleida to collaborate with the municipality and the Generalitat in the consolidation of the Barranc de Fontfreda, an aspect that is being studied by the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia .
In addition, local efforts to improve the town’s tourist appeal, with innovative projects, have been praised.
Subsequently, Talarn moved to Abella de la Conca, where he held a meeting with the mayor Montse Gimó and several members of the town council.
Challenges in Abella de la Conca
In Abella de la Conca, they are facing problems related to rockfalls on houses, with recent incidents, although without injuries.
Despite some previous actions, the challenge remains not fully resolved, and the city council is coordinating efforts with the Cartographic and Geological Institute to address this issue effectively.
